چکیده

The two-dimensional ferromagnetic anisotropic Ashkin-Teller model is investigated through a real-space renormalization-group approach. The critical frontier, separating five distinct phases, recover all the known exacts results for the square lattice. The correlation length (ν T) and crossover (φ) critical exponents are also calculated. With the only exception of the four-state Potts critical point, the entire phase diagram belongs to the Ising universality class.

Phase diagram for the Ashkin - Teller model in three dimensions Ruth

Highand low-temperature series, Monte Carlo simulations, mean-field calculations, and renormalization-group ideas are used to analyze the behavior of the Ashkin-Teller model in three dimensions. The data generated by series and Monte Carlo methods in the neighborhood of the decoupling point are consistent with the renormalization-group conclusion that this system cannot show a line of continuou...

Symmetry-respecting real-space renormalization for the quantum Ashkin-Teller model.

We use a simple real-space renormalization-group approach to investigate the critical behavior of the quantum Ashkin-Teller model, a one-dimensional quantum spin chain possessing a line of criticality along which critical exponents vary continuously. This approach, which is based on exploiting the on-site symmetry of the model, has been shown to be surprisingly accurate for predicting some aspe...

Anomalous universality in the Anisotropic Ashkin–Teller model

The Ashkin–Teller (AT) model is a generalization of Ising 2–d to a four states spin model; it can be written in the form of two Ising layers (in general with different couplings) interacting via a four–spin interaction. It was conjectured long ago (by Kadanoff and Wegner, Wu and Lin, Baxter and others) that AT has in general two critical points, and that universality holds, in the sense that th...

Carlo study of very weak first - order transitions in the three - dimensional Ashkin - Teller model

We propose numerical simulations of the Ashkin-Teller model as a foil for theoretical techniques for studying very weakly first-order phase transitions in three dimensions. The Ashkin-Teller model is a simple two-spin model whose parameters can be adjusted so that it has an arbitrarily weakly first-order phase transition. In this limit, there are quantities characterizing the firstorder transit...

Non-universality in Ising models with four spin interaction

We consider two bidimensional classical Ising models, coupled by a weak interaction bilinear in the energy densities of the two systems; the model contains, as limiting cases, the Ashkin-Teller and the Eight-vertex models for certain values of their parameters. We write the energy-energy correlations and the specific heat as Grassman integrals formally describing Dirac 1+1 dimensional interacti...
